    Hi
I see when editing products in bulk and we can add product categories it works fine, like in this screenshot
the question is how to delete categories that already exist in the product when the product is edited in bulk?

    Thank you very much

    Hey @arwah12,

When reviewing the screenshot, it looks like the bulk editing feature you’re wanting help for is from a third-party plugin. My default product view looks something like this: https://d.pr/i/b0k5kt

That said, categories can be edited by going to WooCommerce > Categories, checking the categories you would like to delete, and delete through the bulk action pulldown menu. https://d.pr/i/ZUVMfZ

I’m going to go ahead and close out this forum post, but please reach out to the bulk editor plugin’s developers for assistance if you’re looking for a different way to accomplish this while using the bulk editing plugin.

    Hi @piratepenpen
thank you very much for your reply
I don’t use third party plugins for mass editing of products.
when we edit products in bulk, we can assign categories to those products,
take a look at the recording
On the other hand, how to delete categories that already exist in the product when the product is edited in bulk?

Sorry maybe my question is difficult to understand

I don’t think you can do that in the default WooCommerce product screen unfortunately.

I would recommend WooCommerce Advanced Bulk Edit – I use it all the time for this sort of thing.

In your case, it will let you select a load of products and then remove a specific category from them all.

It’s also REALLY good when working with products with lots of variations – I use it every day and it saves hours of work!

    Hi @seank123
    Thank you very much
I’m worried that the plugin you suggest can work with Wcvendor plugin,

I once tested one of the product editing plugins in bulk, but an error occurred after I edited the product uploaded by the seller, and the product became admin property.

if I edit directly with default WooCommerce, everything works fine
but I don’t know how to delete existing categories in products when editing products in bulk

No idea about WCVendor – never used it. But the support from the plugin author was very good – I’m sure they will be able to help.

    Hi there,

You could also try the product export / import to update existing products in bulk: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/#section-6

    Take a database backup beforehand.

    Kind regards,

    >I’m worried that the plugin you suggest can work with Wcvendor plugin,

If you’re still considering the plugin but not certain about it’s compatibility with your WC Vendors plugin, you could:

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.
