Edit the Calendar links?

Hi, second question in as many minutes from me, here we go.. ??

In my sidebar I am including the calendar function, however I’ve only just noticed that the links in the calendar are incorrect. Instead of linking to https://www.mysite.com/2006/05/25 they are linking to https://www.mysite.com/wordpress/2006/05/25. This is resulting in a 404. I assume the reason for this is that I am using a htaccess file so that I can place my index.php file in the root directory on my server. Everything else has worked fine except for the calendar.

I read somewhere that the links themselves are generated dynamically and so cant be edited in anyway so I might be up the creek without a paddle here but if there is a way to fix this I’d love to know! ??
