Edit theme request

I’m looking for someone who can help me make a few changes to the default wordpress theme.

I am willing to pay to get this done but a volunteer would be great.

What I’m looking to have done is: Change categories into tabs at the top of the page, remove a few things that come as default. I really like the default theme so I would like to edit it instead of having a whole new template made.
