• Hello–

This plugin does exactly what I need, so thank you.

A concern I have though is that if a user clicks on the page title in the Pages list or clicks on “Edit,” they do not enter the Revisionize workflow. Instead, they can edit the page and submit it for review, but when they click “Submit for Review,” the live page reverts to draft mode and the page is no longer available on the live site. It becomes a 404.

Is there a way to make the “Edit” button work as “Revisionize”? Or can the edit capability or link be removed.

I have a lot of users and they don’t always follow directions, and I envision a case where there are a bunch of 404s on my site because people are clicking the page title or “Edit Page” instead of “Revisionize.” This is a really big risk.

Any thoughts on ways around this or am I missing something?

I have User Role Editor, but I can’t seem to take away the “Edit” link without also taking away “Revisionize.”

    Thanks!

Or is there a way to have the page not reverted from live to draft when submitting?

Apologies if this has been answered, but I searched the entire forum and didn’t find the answer.

    Thanks.

I believe the functionality you’re looking for is provided by the Contibutors Can addon.

If not, take a look at the source code. There are plenty of hooks and filters you can use to programmatically disable the edit button when you need to.
