Hi. I went to edit with Elementor pro my checkout page which I had not done for quite a while ….. responds with 503 and I see at my hosting end spikes. I tried a new checkout page and still did the same. Site works fine and what I have to change is not critical but I would like to work out a fix for it.

I go to Dashboard/edit store and go to the cart page and edit with Elementor the same thing happens.

    Latest: Version 3.27.6

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Chris

  • Hey Chris,

This 503 status code indicates something went wrong within your website while processing?the request. You should be able to get more information from your websites’ PHP error logs.

There are multiple causes with this error, not limited to server issue, plugin conflict, etc.

You need to investigate further and you may follow this guide created by Elementor team: https://elementor.com/blog/error-503/

    Kind regards,
    Alje

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out! A 503 error typically indicates a server-side issue, often related to high resource usage. Since this happens when editing the checkout page with Elementor Pro, the issue is likely related to Elementor or your hosting environment rather than WooCommerce itself.

I recommend reaching out to Elementor support for further assistance, as they can help troubleshoot issues related to editing pages with their builder. Additionally, since you’re seeing spikes on your hosting provider’s end, you may want to contact your hosting support to check for server limitations or resource constraints.

    Thank you

Thanks both of you for your quick responses. I just made a copy of the website and deactivated everything except woocommerce and elementor and the problem is fixed. So I am now going through activating one plugin at a time and I will get back to you about the results – might not be till tomorrow because I have to do a BBQ soon.

Just in time to get the BBQ fired up.

I found the offending plugin and noticed there was an update just recently so did the update and back to normal!

Lesson learnt. Find a problem like that. Do a backup of site and then do the updates which would have solved the problem.

    Cheers.
