edit won't publish

It looks like you’ve chosen the ‘Advanced Blank Page’, which is really for people who know PHP and HTML.

Choose ‘Very Simple Home Page’ from the home page options. Click ‘Save’. Look in the left sidebar and there will now be an option to add a ‘Very Simple Home Page’. Click ‘Add a new home page’. Put your content in, and give the post the title ‘homepage’. Now click ‘Publish’ (blue button, right hand side of page’).

If this isn’t what you mean, let me know.

Well, what I did was follow the install instructions and was guided by the theme designer. I’ll have to take another look and see what your refering to. I can also check with him if need be. First I ll check out what you suggest. Thnx.

I did follow the instructions on the designer (page). Yes, it is there, however, I linked on that hompage to my other site and the link isn’t working. This is when I bring the site up, cycleshanty.com, in my browser. How can I get the link to work?

I’m baffled, now the link seems to be working and I don’t know how I did it. Oh well for now I guess I’m okay withthings. The site designer (page),etc. did give me some good advice and backing that up with what you told me seems to have worked. Thnx.

Hi, I can see that you’ve now selected the correct home page. However, the link isn’t working. When you write a post there’s a line of icons above the big box that you put your text into. The icon for a link is a bit like a 45 degree dumb-bell. It’s greyed out until you select some text. Once you’ve selected some text click on that icon and then paste in the url to your other site.

Not really sure I understand this yet. I am replying to you now although I’ll be on the computer at about noon today and I’ll try to do it. You give great assistance and hopefully I’ll be able to do it.
