I have a CPT “Artist” created with Pods. I want to create a field with all the social medias and stream services where the artist has a page. But, I don’t to display a huge list of “Website” fields with all the possibilities, I want to be able, in the artist page, to add the name of the field (with the name of the social media or stream service) and the url to the service.

Just to make even clear, for example, I’m on artist “Jay Z” page, on amdin. I go to a social network field and I click on an “add button” that ables me to put a text and a url with the informations I want.

I think the custom fields of WP gives me this ability, but I wanted to know if it is able with Pods also.

Is that possible or do I have to create a “Website” field for every social media/stream service?

  • As a quick guess I think you will have to create a website field for each service – the ‘duplicate’ button helps – but on the front end you should definitely be able to clean it up and make it more readable or take less screen room.

It sounds like we are doing similar projects, I have been looking into using accordions or tabs for the same reason.

My site is https://australianhiphopdirectory.com/ My custom post types include – artists – djs- producers – groups – labels – genre………….

Currently we do not support such fields (simple repeatable fields).
This is planned for 2.9: https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/milestones

At the moment, you could do this.
Otherwise you could create a relationship to another Pod called “Links”.

    Cheers, Jory
