    Hello,

When I go to edit a Woocommerce product (in order to edit the long description), I create a new product. I add the product title and some content. I upload product images. At that point, I need to hit “save as a draft”, otherwise when I switch to Elementor it doesn’t see any content and it doesn’t let me edit.

All is good so far, I can edit the product and preview my changes. However, once I hit “publish” it stops working. Either if I hit “preview” from Elementor or if I switch to WordPress, that product url redirects to the homepage (possibly an automatic redirection from 404 page not found).

So… everything is working until I hit “publish”, after that, I can’t load the product page anymore and all attemps, from Elementor preview or WordPress preview, or live page, that url will never show the product but will always redirect to homepage or not found.

  • Hi

Can you please send me a link to your site?

Site is under development, I don’t have a live link to show.
I have read your guide: https://elementor.com/help/the-content-area-was-not-found-error/
and switching permalinks to “plain” is fixing that product that was broken, just by doing that and nothing else.
But of course the permalink cannot stay on “plain”.
Your guide mentions to use “plain” permalinks and see how it goes, but then doesn’t say how to fix the problem if the “plain” solution is working.
Maybe some cache to be flushed?
But I have tried renaming the product to something unique, and that doesn’t fix the issue with custom permalinks.

    This is my permalinks https://ibb.co/9tv3zhL
Only with “plain” (translation “Semplice”) the product goes back to work as normal.

It turned out, this wasn’t an issue with Elementor. In fact, it still occurred when Elementor was deactivated. It was an issue somewhere around the permalinks. It seems it didn’t like %product_cat% and other tags with %. With %product_cat% in place, the preview of the post wouldn’t load.
