• Hi – I’ve just switched from MT to wordpress and just love it. So far the wiki stuff has helped in customizing it just fine but now I’ve run into a little problem.
I’m trying to add new categories to sort everything that used to be “General” into their own categories. All posts are in “general” because I didn’t use categories in MT.
Now the problem – I went through the old posts via the “Edit” function and managed to change one post’s category. Tried the others and suddenly there isn’t an option anymore to change it. I thought maybe those are old posts (i converted from greymatter to MT a year ago) or something but I can’t see an option to change the category anywhere anymore.
It’s probably just some really stupid newbie mistake (sorry in advance lol) but maybe someone can point me in the right direction hehe

never mind, figured it out – for some wacky reason the whole “category” selection box is gone when I go to “edit” – but if I resize the window (IE) and then put it back to the normal size, the category area is back..very weird but at least I’ve figured it out lol

I was about to ask “How do I change categories once the article has already been posted.” This anwers that question.
Step 1 – edit the article – notice that there is no categories selection mechanism showing
Step 2 – resize the window – notice that there is now a category selection mechanism showing
    Step 3 – choose a new category & publish
