    Hi there,

I’m currently using The Events Calendar along with Elementor Pro. What I’m trying to do is add the calendar to one of my pages and then further edit the page with Elementor. While I can add the calendar to a page with no problems, when I go to further edit the page with Elementor, I am greeted with an error that says:

‘Sorry, the content area was not found in your page – You must call ‘the_content’ function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page’.

All of my other pages work fine with Elementor except this page. Does the Events Calendar replace/remove the function ‘the_content’ with the calendar itself? Is there a way to still edit the calendar page with Elementor?

    Thanks

  • In order to edit a page with Elementor, you need to first create it with Elementor.

It happens the same as if you create a page with Gotenberg and then try to edit it with Elementor. It shows you the error that the tag: Content, does not exist.

I have tried to create a page with Elementor, and while successful, as soon as I leave the page and try to jump back into the editor, I’m greeted with the same ‘no_content’ message.

I also deleted the page, re-created the same page and got the same error.

Upon creation of the page, I can add in my templates saved through Elementor and publish the page, but when I add the Events Calendar to this specific page, I can no longer edit it with Elementor, and my templates disappear from the page, leaving it blank with just the calendar.

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching out ??

You’ll need to consult our Themer’s Guide to modify the templates of our plugins.

You can apply a default page template under Events > Settings > Display as well as open the different view templates and customize to your liking.

Unfortunately, most page builders are not able to recognize the archive pages of TEC.

    Take care,
    Ed ??
