Editing Comment Structure / Gravatar

    I’d like to mess with the default Gravatar that comes with WordPress (grey silhouette).

    Most people do not have ‘gravatars’ I notice, and I would like to have a series of 3-5 default pictures that would display when unknown-gravatarians comment on my page. Ideally the gravatar would either alternate in order, repeating ever 3-5 posts. Or it could be random. Either one works.

    I tried finding the root file that controls comment layout, but could not.

  • well….that already exists in WP…kind of

    at the very bottom of settings->discussion you can select Identicon, Wavatar, or MonsterID

    which are random avatars for people withg no gravatar….more variety than the mystery man

    Oh, perfect. Thanks for that info! I am VERY new to this ‘avatar’ stuff. I haven’t even seen the movie.
