Editing content on bilingual website

I am working on a bilingual website, translating in WordPress from English to Spanish. To date, I have not been able to delete extraneous content–in this case, English-language content and a Google Spanish translation–so that the only thing that appears is my revised translation. It is also not possible to delete punctuation marks, dates, etc. Please enlighten.
