• Hi,

WP noob.. So please pardon if this is a stupid question.

Just inhereted an WP site and the owner wants us to edit an existing form.
From a quick search it looks like you need a plug-in to create forms in WP? We do not see any plug ins installed in their installation though.

This is what we see when we go into the WP editor for the page

    [gravityform id=1 name=QuoteRequest title=false description=false]

Can’t seem to find where its pulling form from…

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi osbllc,

    [gravityform id=1 name=QuoteRequest title=false description=false]
    is a piece of ‘shortcode’.
There should be a gravity forms-plugin in the
    Dashboard > plugins.
If not, check the wp-content/plugins – directory on your webserver.

If all fails: reinstall gravity forms-plugin and see if you can access the existing form / [re]design a form.

    Thanks Ginfo!

I can see the gravityform plugin on the server but I do not see a Plugins menu option in Dashboard.
Do I need to reinstall it or am I missing something? Also, if I reinstall would lose the existing forms on the site?

    Hi osbllc,

The plugin menu option is a standard feature of WP and should be menu-item under ‘appearance’. Let me know if you’ve found it.
Don’t ‘mess with things’ just jet…

    Hi,

I don’t see the option at all. The installation seems a bit dated (3.1.1) so I don’t know if that is the issue.
    I don’t even see an “Appearance” link….

    Errr…

1.Make a backup of yuor site
    2. update your wordpress
    3. check the situation
