Editing home page help – nOObie

    Okay, where to start?
    I am the president of my off road club, and we had a volunteer build our site. Well, he’s done with it and I need to edit the home page and update it with more pictures and content.

    Version 4.3 is a guess…

    What I have is a couple extra footers, and I can see where I can add more or delete what I have, but I want to have a place to display pictures from our ‘recent trips.’

    I have had a lot of fun (and it has been working well) creating forms and updating what I have, but this home page seems to be a sticking point. Our latest update was over a year ago.

    Have you thought about displaying your images as a slider on the home page? These could link to individual posts about your recent trips. The easiest way would probably be to use a slider/carousel plugin.

    How do you access your home page? Is there a page you edit in the admin area or are you using ftp?

    My specific problem is finding the correct buttons to edit the home page. I see all the other buttons to edit content on all the other pages, but I can’t find the button for this page.

    Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme or plugin is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.
