Editing Homepage

  • Using Orvis, I’d like to change the size and font of my site identity (and menu) on the home page. I’d also like to reduce the size of the header image. When I hit “Edit Your Front Page” from the Dashboard, the only option is to edit with Elementor. That’s fine, except that Elementor will not let me edit the font/size of the identity … nor will it let me change the size of the header image. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    Do you want the size of the site identity and menu to be larger or smaller than what’s currently in place?

    Hello lizkarkoski- Thanks for your offer to help. I thought I had replied to your message over the weekend, but discovered I was sending to a “noreply” address. Hope this gets through.

    I would like to use the Source Code Pro font that is found on Google fonts. I tried to make that the “default” font for my website, but apparently it didn’t apply to the Header, tagline and menus. So I haven’t been able to change those fonts .. or their sizes.

    I would also like to make the Header Image a lot smaller .. the image that shows a copper “Salon” sign. Small enough to bring the green “Enter” button onto the main page without having to scroll down (for desktop computers anyway). I’d also like to make the site identity and menu a bit smaller .. to show a little more of the bird image that is in the background. But I cannot find anyway to adjust the size of the site identity and menu box, either from the WordPress dashboard .. or in Elementor.

    As you can tell, I’m a rookie. Thanks for your help. John
