  • What version of WordPress are you using? What are the permissions on the file set to? . . .and are you running wordpress on a linux/apache setup?

It’s the newest version 2.6.2 and I’m not using linux. It’s my 1st time using wordpress so I may not understand some of the jargon.

    Thanks

It maybe the security settings that you host has, i.e ask them if they are using mod_security ?

Did you install through Fantastico or did you do it yourself.

As for the settings all php fields in your ftp should be writable ?

    Regards

It’s Godaddy. I’ve been editing through their hosting page. It would be much easier to just do it in WordPress.

    Thanks again

GoDaddy. That explains a lot, right there. Ask to be switched to a Linux server package, and use your FTP account/program to set the permissions of files/folder to read/write.
