Hello! First of all thanks for such a wonderful plugin (pro version is well worth the money) and apologies if this has been answered before.

The inline edit feature is very useful for making quick changes to product information in Woocommerce. I use a plugin called “QuickAssortments Cost of Goods” which allows me to enter the price at which I purchase something. This information is displayed on the product list in an extra column called “Cost Price”. It is not possible for me to edit the Cost Price inline or indeed bulk edit Cost Price when multiple items are selected, which suggests there is something either about the way that the QA CoG plugin stores this data or the way in which it displays the additional columns, or indeed something else that eludes me altogether.

I understand that you can’t solve problems with all 3rd party plugins but I would be very grateful if you could point me in the right direction as to what to look at. What has to happen for AdminColumns to “see” the Cost Price as it sees other columns? Pretty awful coder but you can be as technical as you like.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your message.
I suspect that the information about the costs of goods is stored in a custom field for the product. In that case, you should be able to use our Custom Field column to display that information and replace the original column. All the pro features are available for the custom field column. In order to allow inline editing for the custom field column, you’ll need to activate it first on the settings page. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Cannot thank you enough! Works like a charm. You are right, there is a hidden field entitled “_qa_cog_cost” so I was able to add a new column to display that information and can now edit it inline. This has made managing the site immeasurably easier, thank you very much!
