Editing Menus

This is just a feature request, so no solutions needed.

I’ve just been rearranging a few menu items and subcategories around, and was getting quite annoyed at one feature (or the lack of it) and would like to suggest an improvement.

When adding a new top level menu item, plus sub-items to reside within, it is quite obvious that the best place for these new items to appear is at the bottom, which happens now, so you can see at a glance where your new items are.

The annoyance though, arises when you intend the new top level item and sub-items to appear, lets say, in the middle of the menu. All the items then have to be moved one by one into their new positions within the menu.

I’d like to suggest a feature whereby the items appear at the bottom (like now) but can be re-ordered and items set as sub-items, and then the whole block can be moved in one stroke to its new position within the main menu.
