  • Hi sparkin5,

Your theme is pretty good. It has a nice design and its responsive. Why do you feel the need to change it?

Any images, banners and text is easily changed from the admin panel.

The only thing I noticed on the homepage is you have a test post listed which should be removed and the facebook section in the footer is not working.

There are a few things you could add like nice CSS3 animations etc.

There is also a move away from sliders as they are not effective, normally just one striking background image does the job. Im not sure if Id use black and white or if Id want a bit of colour in there. The difficult thing is that that area is quite busy and obscures most of the background image.

I think you should be more concerned with moving you site forward from the good base you have. Your page speed for instance can be improved: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmach-tech-ltd.co.uk%2F

    Hope that helps.

    wptweaks,
Thank you for your comments and i may just amend my current web page but feel I really need to have a look at a tutorial video first as I am a newbee to this. Can you recommend one for me. I will also at some point have a go at developing a web page from scratch as i run another similar business, would I need to download the program to do this ?
    cheers in advance

It kind of depends on your theme as to how the homepage content is controlled/displayed etc but most just utilise pages and posts.

Loads of tutorials out there. Just google what you want to do followed with the word “wordpress”, for example; How to change homepage content wordpress

You can either download WordPress, upload it and install it yourself or most web hosts have a one click install service that adds the files automatically.

If you struggle to get things going you might consider a paid support and maintenance like we offer.

    Hope that helps
