• How do I convert the old pages/posts that were previously created in the Classic Editor to the Gutenberg Blocks? I have trouble when I’m editing. When I got to publish/save, it spins for a very long time and sometimes never stops. Then I have to leave the page. After leaving the page, I get a white screen with an error message that the server had an internal error or mis-configuration. Then I have to log back into the admin.

The editor is defaulting to publish and there’s a button for switch to draft, but that also causes a lot of spinning and hang ups.

I’m afraid to try to edit any of my pages or I will get locked out of my site or mess up the pages.

I have the plugin for the Classic Editor, and it’s currently deactivated. I’d like to use the blocks. I was able to use it successfully on the home page, but that’s it so far.

Any pointers? I’m basic and just know how to edit in WP, not on the backend.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey,
I suggest you make sure everything is up to date, all themes and plugins. Then deactivate plugins one by one testing after each until you can save a page without all the spinning. That usually means that a plugin isn’t set up to work correctly with the new WordPress editor.

    Ben
