    Dear all,

I am running the following page: https://www.thearcticinstitute.org. Since the change to Gutenberg I have problems to update and safe our pages, due – what I think – an issue on how the pages, which were created years ago with the Classic Editor, are displayed in Gutenberg.

It is a bit tricky to explain but I can submit some screenshots to indicate what I mean.

    Thanks in advance.
    Andreas

Ok, you say that you have problems, but you didn’t actually say what those problems are.

    Dear Samuel,

As indicated, a bit tricky to explain and happy to provide screenshots. However, will try to explain:

As stated, the pages were created years ago. Hence, when opening one and trying to update I see I have this single block of the classic WordPress Editor. When scrolling down, the block at some point disappears behind “page header settings”, “menu type”, “custom header”, etc.
Suddenly parts of the block appear after the “Yoast SEO” options, then disappears again and then appears at the very bottom of the page.

Every time I try to update something it indicates “updates failing”.

Does my description make any sense?

It sounds like you have plugins and perhaps a theme that use metaboxes, and those are overlapping the editor.
In order to give you time to get everything updated to compatible versions, you can install the Classic Editor plugin, which will give you an environment that looks like it used to.

Thanks for the quick help Joy, well appreciated!! Maybe I reach out to some of the plugin developers as well
