Editing Pages – Problem with Gutenberg, metaboxes and the plugin?

  • After having explained my problem with the general wordpress support, I was told that a plugin and/or theme that use metaboxes are generating the problem I will describe below. Hence, I am wondering if it could be Recent Posts Widget Extended? I also ran WordPress’ Health Check and it seems the problem occurs when enabling the plugin.

    Basically, when I try to open and update a page generated years ago now with Gutenberg the following situation arises:

    When opening one and trying to update a page I see I have this single block of the classic WordPress Editor. When scrolling down, the block at some point disappears behind “page header settings”, “menu type”, “custom header”, etc.
    Suddenly parts of the block appear after the “Yoast SEO” options, then disappears again and re-appears at the very bottom of the page.

    Happy to provide screenshots as I am not entirely sure how to better explain the problem.
