  • For me too. WP 4.9.8, all other Plugins deactivated, only YOAST SEO Version 8.2 installed -> Post edit and new Post pages are broken, Error 500

Here the same. After last update when I try to edit page/post, it loads and then after loading gives crash error (using newest WP with DIVI).

I have the same issue in every browser. When I want to edit any post I have to disable this plugin.

That sounds like a plugin or theme conflict if you have Yoast SEO v8.2 and WordPress v4.9.8. Can you try and gather as much information for us as possible? Please perform the following:

    1. Make sure the issue doesn’t persist when Yoast SEO is disabled.
    2. Check for conflicts.
    3. Check for JavaScript errors with your console.

If you find any JavaScript errors related to Yoast SEO or if there is a conflict with a plugin or a theme, you can create a new GitHub issue for our developers. Please report the issue to a third party developer as well.

If you didn’t find any conflicts or errors, we think the issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

I’ll try to find out, but do not think it’s theme-related issue, as I have Divi theme and my friend has another one and he has same issuses – after disabling Yoast all works fine on both sites.

I suppose that update “Adds readability analysis for Polish” is the reason of this bug. A lot of my polish friend have this problem after update.

After disabling Yoast the problem dissapear. It is something that occurs in Chrome. In Firefox it’s OK. The problem didn’t exist in the previous version of Yoast.

I have the same issue. I turned off all plugins (only Yoast SEO was turn on) and I couldn’t edit posts. When I turned off “readability analysis” – than everything work.
    Website is in Polish.
