• I have a live and active website, but I need to edit his posts offline.
Is there any plugin that will allow me to install WordPress on my computer in the same format as it is on my server, and I will be able to update the posts on the computer, and then I can send the updates to the server when I am online?
One of the other reasons I need it to be offline, because the site is very heavy, and it does not suit me at the moment according to the circumstances in my case, edit it quickly, and I need it to be offline.
It should be noted in the boxed article that this is a site that adds posts and updates even when I am offline, as well as new purchases and comments, so there is no intention to send him the copy he sees on my computer, but only the edits of the posts.
Tools that were meant for export and import were not convenient for me to use regularly (especially since I tried one of them and it seems to produce another copy of the images from each post) so I am looking for an easy and simple solution suitable for regular and orderly work.
Thanks to anyone who would like to help me

  • You can try this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/postie/
You can install WordPress on your computer, but the problem you might have is differing versions of software (PHP, WP, plugins), and also that if you reference other posts in your content, the domain name will be wrong. To avoid the hassle, you can simply compose your content how you prefer and use the “post by email” functionality of the plugin.

    I’m glad you’re helping me.
I was familiar with this plugin. And I have used many with another plugin similar to this. But it can only benefit new posts. No old posts. I’m wrong?
I am currently editing mostly old articles.

You are correct that the plugin is for new posts.
I don’t know of any plugin that handles updates the way you describe.
