  • An e-mail should be sent to the new e-mail address with a link that you have to confirm. It is also below the field:

    If you change this, an email will be sent at your new address to confirm it.

    Have you not received an email? Then your WordPress cannot send emails or your email service provider has sorted the email out as spam. Check the spam folder of your mailbox. Alternatively, the only solution is to set up an SMPT dispatch in WordPress (e.g. with the WP Mail SMTP plugin).

    Thank you for the information. I have had the same issue.

    @threadi thankyou.

    I went for Method 2 and installed the pugin. Unfotunately it did not work.

    My WP Mail SMTP is set up for PHP. This is because my hosting provider blocks SMTP connections to the email address attached to my domain I tried using Gmail but see I need to sign up for Google Cloud, It is all getting very messy.

    I installed and activated the plugin mentioned in Method 2. I tried two addresses: a domain-related one and a Gmail one. I checked spam folders but did not see the test email.

    Is the ise here that I need a SMTP mail service set up?

    You can also use method 3 from the article. Contact your hosting support if you do not know how to access the database view there.

    Otherwise you should be able to successfully establish an SMTP connection. If your hoster blocks this, you can only contact their support. Or move your project to another hoster.

    There was no “Users” database listed in the database. I contcated hosting support and seiad they cannot help with it. Any suggestions?
