• Hey Guys.

    Have followed the install instructions and think I’m at the final hurdle.
    I can open the config.php script to change the code to the include the database details etc.
    I open it with Wordpad.
    Then save it, but when I then go to install, the final database etc page does not open. I re-check the config.php script and it remains in the same default setting.
    Should I be opening the file with another text reader that will save it correctly, should I alter the saving configuration to exclude the “.txt” end, or is it saving correctly but reverts to the default setting whenever opened ??
    Such a small thing is causing significant grief.

    Thanks for any helf.

    Brad

    Am assuming this is the issue, as when I try to run the installation;

    “Error: PHP is not running
    WordPress requires that your web server is running PHP. Your server does not have PHP installed, or PHP is turned off.”

    …but have contacted the hosting Co. and they say it’s fine from their end.

    I open it with Wordpad.

    No. You must use a PLAIN text editor such as Notepad.

    Dont’t use wordpad use notepad to make changes, When done upload and check out php vers1on with hosting.
    For latest version
    PHP 5.2.4 or greater
    MySQL 5.0 or greater
