Editing settings for Import Feed

    I am running this plugin on a multisite with 4 sites.

    Each site is set with an Import Feed. Right now each feed is set with “Yes” to the question “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed.” I wish to change this to “No”, but when I click “Edit” that area just goes to white. If I inspect the code I see that .ai1ec-modal is set to display:none. Nothing I am trying is allowing the modal to be shown, so that I can take action. I’m getting this same behavior on all 4 sites, in both Chrome and Firefox. Outside of deleting the feed and adding it again, is there anything I can do to get the Edit button to work?

  • Hi @matt6303,

    It can be caused by incomplete or outdated PHP on your host. We recommend that your host run PHP version 5.6, up to version 7.0 (7.1 is currently unstable until the next update). You could try switching PHP versions to see if it helps.

    If not, be sure that your calendar plugin, and your WordPress installation is up to date, and you can try

    1. Delete and re-add each feed (your feed limit should not change). You may just have to refresh the page after you delete a feed.

    2. Reinstalling the core calendar plugin manually.

    These instructions will preserve your current events:

    – Make a backup of each feed URL you are importing
    – Perform a complete back up of your database before proceeding further
    – Delete the file uninstall.php from the plugin directory that is currently on the server (found under /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar). Deleting this file ensures that when you uninstall the current version of the plugin, your event data and calendar settings will be preserved when you delete the plugin (don’t skip this step – it’s important!)
    – Deactivate the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Delete the All-in-One Event Calendar using your WordPress Dashboard.
    – Database -> wp_options, click option_name to sort and delete everything with ai1ec_, this will delete plugin settings but events will remain in the database.
    – Now install the latest version.

    I have this exact same issue. When I click on EDIT in the Import Feed section, the screen area below the feed goes blank and nothing happens. If I click on Refresh, it takes a very long time to refresh. I cannot change the Import Feed Settings.

    I need to change these settings.

    Allow comments: No
    Show map: Yes
    Keep original events categories and tags: No
    On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed: Yes
    Convert event’s date/time to calendar’s timezone: Yes

    I need to change the “On refresh, preserve previously imported events that are missing from the feed: Yes” to NO, so that Google DELETED EVENTS are removed from the Timely Calendar.

    Apologies for your problems. As for the original poster, the problem in your situation is caused by the same reasons, and the feeds cannot be edited until you can see the edit section.
