editing sidebar ( META section)

I am using a theme that supports widgets. The META widget is added to the sidebar. But I want to remove the line that links to “comments RSS” because comments will not be allowed in this blog.

In the past I have just edited the theme’s file sidebar.php, and taken out the item in the list, thus from the sidebar.

But in this case removing the item from the list is not doing the job. I suspect it has to do with using the widget to add META to the sidebar.

So my question is, how do I edit this to remove one of the lines in the META section on the sidebar?
