Editing the footer

  • Hi there, I’ve seen some posts on this in the archives but am unsure of the latest.

    I’d like to make basic edits to the footer, essentially

    1. Change the name in the footer copyright. It defaults to the site name.
    2. Insert some links (i.e. privacy policy) in the same line as the copyright (not a separate footer menu row)

    I’m not a coder, are there easy ways of doing this via plugin or some basic edits within the theme?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Yes, you can edit the copyright text by going to Appearrance>Customize>Site Settings and adding text to the “Copyright Text” box.

    You can also add HTML here, so you can definitely add a link (<a> tag) to a Privacy policy page or any other page. Here’s an example: https://prnt.sc/1rwawgu
