Editing the top bar

Hi, you probably mean how to edit the top navigation bar right?

That’s standard WordPress procedure.

First you have to go to Appearance -> Menus

On the left page you can see the most recent or all menus, pages, categories etc.

Simply check the pages that you want to add to the menu and then click Add To menu.

Then go to Manage Locations tab and in the main menu option select the menu that you want to place there.

Save changes and you’re ready to go.

I simply haven’t included that in the documentation because it’s standard WordPress procedure. I mean that all Themes have the same method to add, edit or delete Menus.

Hi and thank you for getting back to me. I have done as you say up to the point of clicking add to menu. It wont let me. Then I dont see the Manage Locations tab at all. All I have on this screen is EDIT MENUS.

What version of wordpress you have?

oK good news I figured it out. ?? I need to first create a menu so that my pages could go into it. I think, anyhow its working. It was great advice. Love the theme. If I have more questions I will come back to you. ??

Hey there, I was able to get the pages into the top navigation bar however when I took the pages out of the wigitized bar on the right bar and refreshed my website the pages/menu still remained on the wigitized bar (Only on home page- other pages the correction was made) Any idea?

Hi Alexitsios, Thank you for all your help with the menu’s and navigation bar. I seem to have corrected what I wanted and happy with the result.

If you dont mind I just have two more questions. Things I have battled with.

Im trying to change my font color and link color.

1) I have a blue background and need font to be white. Links I would like to be dark blue. I dont see anywhere on the dashboard and Im not that sure about html etc. Can you help me with this?

2) I have added my RSS feed but when I hover over the button on the left hand side where all social media buttons are… I get “code” ??? displaying. Something is not right there and I cant figure it out. I think its something to do with my feed link . Im not sure.

1. hi, i don’t have an option to change the navigation bar from the dashboard. in order to change it you can edit it inside the default.css file in your wordpress installation.

2. This is plugin territory. You’ll have to ask the creator of the plugin that you installed why it’s outputting that code.
