Editing widgets in dashboard doesn’t do anything

  • Hello.

    I don’t know why, but whenever I make changes to my site’s widgets in dashboard, nothing at all changes. They are saved and if I exit and then load the page again, it shows them just like I placed them.

    However, changes on the site are nowhere to be found. All the changes I can make are shown if I use the live customizer, but that’s not good either, because I have 3 layouts in my above header section, but if I try to insert a widget in the third column, it just duplicates the widgets from the second column, and if I click Go to widget, there’s only an option for the first above header widget and the second one. The third one is not anywhere..

    This may a cache issue:

    Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Not just your browser, but any op cache or content network cache as well such as Cloudflare. That will solve many weird JavaScript issues.

    Flushing Managed host caches. Managed WP hosting often has special caches. If your host has a “Purge Varnish” or “Flush Memcache” tool, try that. You can ask your provider to flush memcache and Varnish for you if necessary.
