I can’t find this from the changelog but i noticed if i add a link in the visual editor, it no longer gives me the option to add a title for the link. I can only change/add the clickable link text which is pretty stupid since i can do that before adding the link.

Is there a way to change link text option back to link title?

New version of the plugin is available in the Plugins Directory:

Thanks to Sergey Biryukov for the refactoring. This version should be more compatible with other scripts and going forward in WordPress as well.

Thanks for the plug-in — working perfectly so far. The problem with inserting link titles started just today, at the moment a cat jumped on my keyboard! I was going nuts trying to find out if a setting had changed in WordPress. I use link titles extensively and have read that they are valuable for SEO. Weird coincidence, happy outcome. Thanks again for an easy solution.

I am still shocked that WordPress would just take out this link text function. This is a very scary web-world to be in where you create something based upon existing functions and then to just have those functions change without warning. I am very glad for people like Otto!

    Thanks for the plug-in !

I have a little suggestion to improve it : when selecting content from the site on the modal dialog, it would be great if the content title was automatically copied to the title field, as in previous WordPress version.

Thanks Otto, your plugin saved our day ??
