I can’t find this from the changelog but i noticed if i add a link in the visual editor, it no longer gives me the option to add a title for the link. I can only change/add the clickable link text which is pretty stupid since i can do that before adding the link.

Is there a way to change link text option back to link title?

Are you using this plugin?

IF not, try deactivating the plugins you are using – see if any are causing that problem.

It looks like the title has been mistakenly removed and confused with anchor text, rather than being treated as two separate things:

@syndite I think that the ticket you linked is not about the current issue as it says that has been fixed in 4.2 but it was introduced in 4.2. Aditionally, the linked ticket is about the media manager.

so it was my nofollow plug-in…does anyone know of a no follow plug in that works?

I was not the nofollow plugin. I don’t use it and I have the problem too. It seems a WP bug.

I’m not using nofollow plugin.

I Tried disabling ALL plugins but problem remains.

@cybmeta you’re right, the ticket is about media manager but i think what they’ve done has affected the add/edit link options

well, intentionally for ‘insert by url’, which might be an image or something. but when you insert a normal text link, it makes no sense to have ‘link text’ instead of ‘title’ (you would normally select the text you want to make a link in the first place rather than add a link then type in the text for it)
