Editor and Authors Cannot See Visual Editor

  • The Editor and Author accounts on our site are unable to see the visual editor as well as have white font. The administrator accounts work as expected. Even after disabling all plugins the problem persists. Steps I’ve taken to figure out what the problem is include:

    Re-installing WordPress
    Disabling all add-ons
    Clearing cache
    Check for JavaScript errors (none)
    Made sure visual editor is enabled
    I am currently waiting for a response from the theme creator

    I just find it odd that only those specific accounts are affected.

    first, make sure visual editor is not disabled in the dashboard.

    dashboard >> users >> your profile

    Sorry guess I wasn’t clear enough. That was what I mean by “made sure visual editor is enabled.” That was my first thought when the editor told me they were having issues.

    You have already tried some troubleshooting.

    Also try:
    – Try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default, core-bundled Theme (such as Twenty Fourteen) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.
