Editor is blank, can’t edit posts/pages with editor

    Hi
    I was able to edit a post on 24/1/17 with the editor
    when I tried yesterday post editor is blank.
    Don’t have any edit icons (bold etc etc)
    can’t click on text view at all
    Same on posts, events and pages
    website looks fine from front end, posts and pages are still there (and show word count in editor just cant see anything)

    We are a small charity, someone made the website for us and handed it over to me.

    Have been trying lots of trouble shooting from wordpress help topics..
    Disabled all addons – no change
    switched to default theme – no change
    logged out, flushed Brower cache, logged back – no change

    Ran console, when go to edit post page, found this:

    seems like same error as

    tried suggestion in that post
    added to wp-config.php
    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false );

    no change

    Changed debug to true in wp-config.php file, didn’t fix so I changed it back

    Only thing that changes anything, if I go into my user profile and tick “disable visual editor when writing” then I can see the text view but I need the visual editor, when I change it back can’t see anything again.

    Note: 99% sure I noticed this happening yesterday BEFORE the update to 4.7.2 but I installed again to make sure and same problem.

    Any help would be a greatly appreciated.

    When I switch to a different theme it works. Wondering what the issue may be within the theme?

    I am able to edit using the text editor but not the visual editor. So the editing capability is very basic. Please help

    I recommend asking the theme’s developers.

    Side note: If you noticed this thread is not only over 4 months old, but also marked as “resolved”!!!
