• Hello

I am trying to cuztomize the search results page on my website [ redundant link removed ]

I was watching a video that said I may be able to edit the page using the theme editor.

Under Appearance -> I have a “Theme File Editor”. But that requires coding to change the page.

However I have seen videos on youtube where people have an option under Appearance which just says “Editor”. This takes them to a drag and drop editor where they can edit the search results page.

I noticed that in brackets the “editor” was the beta version. So I am just wondering if it has been removed from WordPress or if there is a way to access the editor?

    Thanks!

  • The editor you saw there is only available if you use a block theme like TwentTwentyTwo. This is not available with classic themes.

You would therefore have to change the theme to get this menu item. And with that, the complete look of your website changes. However, you can adapt it in this editor. Here is an article on this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/site-editor/

Alternatively, you can also change this page with other PageBuilders. For example, you can also do this with Elementor or Avada.

Awesome, I am using astra as the theme for my website. So I think I will try to install Elementor and change it there.

    Thank you for your help!
