• I am not sure what the problem is…my editor page is not working. I have tried turning off the rich visual editor and custom fields and some other stuff on editor page still not working. This occurred on new install even. I do have plugins installed but none activated. Still have problems. If I can just get custom fields working that will be okay. I can edit posts from LiveWriter. Thanks for any help

It says that line 184, char 209
    Error: access is denied
    Code:0
    URL:https://everythingartanddesign.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

And it says the same for post.php, page-new.php, and page.php

I have tried to set the file permissions to 755 but they keep reverting back to nothing.

I realized that the files were cloaked so I uncloaked them but still am having same problem. Someone please help me…

Maybe a mod_security issue. Are you able to disable it temporarily on your server and try again? The Error Message you write about is displayed by which program? By WordPress itself (a PHP errormessage maybe)?

The error is from the little exclamation on the bottom of the browser. How do I disable mod_security?

It seems to come and go. I have tried uninstalling all plugins even though they weren’t activated and it starts working after awhile. But it has still not worked off and on. I reinstall some plugins and it works fine for about an hour and quits working again. Not sure if it maybe something on the server side that is my hoster or what. Any more ideas anyone?

I have the following plugins reinstalled and working:
    Akismet
    Auto-hyperlinks
    cforms II
    Kontera Ad Wraps
    SnapShots Plugin
    WordPress.com Stats

Hmm, you wrote about The error is from the little exclamation on the bottom of the browser. Is it in the bottom of the browser-windows (the aread where websitcontent is displayed) or is it the statusbar of the browser? Which browser do you use?

Mod_Secturity is en- or disbled in your webservers configuration. Normally you need to talk with your admin about that.

When you say it sometimes works and sometimes not then this might be a connection issue.

Its the little one on the status bar. I use IE7. Thank you for your help so far.

Sorry I do not support IE7 and can not help you any further with that browser. I can give you support when you switch over to IE6, firefox or opera.

    Hello,

My friend is having the same problem and he has asked me to help. Just to be sure I will explain the situation.

    I use version 2.3.3

When I login to the Word Press Admin (through my friends computer) and go to the Post Editor I am not able to click in either the Visual or Code editor.

On my own computer I have no problmes at all and everything works fine.

We both use IE7 but his is showing a “error on page” message on the bottom left browser status bar. I also tried using FireFox on his computer and on mine. Same thing firefox worked fine for me on my computer but not on his. (Also, not sure if this means anything but I have not done a Windows Update in months)

On my computer I right clicked on the editor area then selected properties and was shown a url that ended like this…

    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/blank.htm

I am assuming the js represents javascript

My conclusion is that there may be some setting in Internet Explorer Options that is causing the problem or there may be some kind of firewall causing it. I believe he just uses the Windows XP firewall.

Hopefully this information is accurate and can get us going in the right direction to solve this problem.

Can anyone pick up from here and let me know what is going on or give suggestions on what to try?

    Thanks
    Eric B
