Editors can’t log in

Suddenly editors can’t login (I just get a message about not having sufficient permissions). Since this pluing was just updated, I tried disabling it. When I did, I could log in as an editor – when I enable it again, I can’t. I tried this on two sites. The theme on both is GeneratePress.
