I notice that about 4 months ago someone asked about Editors being able to access the plugin. Any movement on that yet? If not, is there a way it could be hacked for now? Also, another suggestion, would be to add the ability for teachers to edit the gradebook on the front end rather than having to go into the dashboard…not sure if that’s on your list at this point…I saw how to show the gradebook on the front end and that’s working great…not sure if adding a shortcode to be able to edit information would be as easy a hack. Thanks.

    Hi woalmoore,

We’re currently working on adding role management to gradebook. That way the admin user can choose who can create and edit gradebooks. It’s turning out to be quite difficult to upgrade the code. I’m not sure when this will be done, but hopefully soon.

For front-end functionality, there hasn’t been much done in that direction. I’m surprised and encouraged by how well the hack works, but there’s still more to do for this feature to be integrated into this plugin.

Perhaps I’m missing something…does the plugin compute cumulative grades for the classes based on individual assignment grades? I’m not seeing them in either the front-end hacked display or the back-end display. Thanks.

    Hi woalmoore,

We haven’t implemented a final grade calculator. This is a difficult feature to implement, since different instructors can have different grading policies.

Only admins can use use the grade book at this time?

    Hi FandomEnt,

There is a hack to allow other roles to access and edit the gradebook in one of the other support posts but the next update is going to have this feature.

It is ready but I’m wary of releasing it just yet. I’m worried there’ll be a lot of conflicts with the last version.

Will the feature include the ability to restrict individuals to editing only specific classes?

    Hi jturet,

    Yes, this is correct.
