Edits to lists not being saved

    I hAve several lists on my site that when I make a.n edit within the editor the changes are not saved. The list only contains around 10 or so items. The only way for new items to be added or changed is to export the lists as a cav, edit them externally, then do a delete and import.

    I have not changed the max vars on the site,and am not running a lot of plug-ins. The only one that might have an impact is maybe my seo plugin.

    What iis the max suggested number of list entries per page? I was planning on having a directory page with 50 or 60 links but if that is too much I’ll look for another solution.

    Hi,

    You have run into a server setting limitation. Your server has a setting for how many form fields it will process at a time. So, after you have added a certain number of listings, the server refuses to save the Lists.

    The server’s configuration that dictates this is?max_input_vars. You need to Set it to a high limit like?max_input_vars?= 15000. Since this is a?server setting – you may need to contact your hosting company’s support for this.
