• I’m sure somewhere in all these posts the answer is here, but I’ve searched for hours for the answer. Simply, I need to know if I go into my FTP file manager which file would contain HTML for contents ie: posts. If I look at the source code on my blog I see what needs to be editted but have no clue where to save it to if I do.

  • You don’t need to go through ftp, you can use the theme editor to edit any file and save it.

You would think so, but I’m having a difficult time since css and php are new to me. I’d like to go through ftp. Thank you for your response.

It depends of what you want to edit, do you want to change the display of the posts ? in this case, you have to edit the style.css located /wp-content/themes/yourtheme/style.css
Do you know tools like https://chrispederick.com/work/web-developer/
    or firebug ?
These tools can help you with the code.

It’s not the style of the posts that I need to edit. It’s actually how some things are working and the formatting. I know how to fix them in HTML. So I’d like to know how to get into my source code and change it. I’ll check the link you left. Thank you.
