EDP host – migration issues

Hello,
I cannot get anywhere with my installation. My password kept being rejected (despite resetting and cutting and pasting) and so I had to create a second FTP account to try to upload the wordpress platform — its uploaded, but I can’t figure out how to access it — perhaps because its not the “main FTP account” created for the site?
Its a small host, so there are no tutorials available and I’m just completely over my head. The migration costs offered by my host are more than I can afford at the moment, as my site is not monetized.
