• I’ve been having a problem lately, creating contextual text links in the HTML editor. So I’m considering disabling all of my plugins to see if that solves the issue… and then I can figure out, by process of elimination, which one was causing the issue (if any of them).
My question is, though: If I disable all of my plugins, will my site be affected (ie. disabling of ads, links and sitemap), or can I do this safely and just reenable the plugins as I need them?

I’m just worried I’ll have to start from scratch, and I don’t want to do that.

Has anyone disabled all plugins for similar reasons? Is this a good idea?

    Thanks.

  • When you disable a plugin for certain corresponding function, of course it will affect that related field.. However after enabling back and restore to its workable function.. It will work just fine.

    Okay, thanks a lot.

I may have figured it out anyway. Instead of trying to create a link with both fields (url and title), I type highlight the text I want to see there, and then only fill in the URL field. This seems to work.

It’s still confusing to me though.

Thanks a lot for the advice, Richard.
