So my problems are …
I have installed the guestbook, bought and installed the add-on.
So…
I have a lot of entries, which I have to fill in by myself … some with email, some without, some with website, some without …
And also new entries over there website.

So, if I try to fill I some new entries, the first problem – I can’t set a new email address or change the email address?
The second problem … if I want to fill in more entries … a have an error. The book don’t save it …

I hope my English is good enough (ma German is better ?? , but I can give you login ti my backend too. Private please.

in the meanwhile I make a standard page and work with the comment function instead of the guestbook … but guestbook is better (if it runs)

Ah, yes, changing the email address ?? I assumed that adding an entry through the dashboard is added as your own. Maybe I should make it editable without fixed email and name.
Alternatively, you can add entries through the frontend form, there you can change the email address. If you do it as logged out user, you will not be saved as author.

By the way, the comments can be imported on Guestbook > Import. Or do you need more entries that came through email?

Ok the cache … was a problem … and now I know how I can write new entries without errors … in another browser and logged off … but

I have 2 Problems … the existing entries – in some I want to change the email address – can you make the field editable?

And: The time stamp from the ned entries … I have in WordPress GMT +2 hours (Vienna) …. but in the entries time stamp is the time … GMT +/-0 … also 2 hours earlier as the entry … how can I fix this?

And … some emoticons (pics?) can not be imported .. like this: ???????????? … is there a solution?

Hi,

Yes, I could make the email field editable.

And yes, there are some issues with timestamps. I haven’t figured out what the correct solution is.

About the emoji. When you go to Guestbook > Settings > Debug-tab, which database collations are listed? You could contact your hosting provider and tell them that emoji are not working. Then give them that list of database collations and see if they can fix it. Preferable thay all should be utf8mb4, not anything else.

For the email field, you could use the version in git:

I don’t have any plans to release a new version yet, I will wait till more changes have accumulated.
