Thank you for creating what has got to be the most useful plugin released this year! I’ve been waiting forever for this, so thanks.

After using the plugin for a number of weeks now, I noticed an issue where modifying any link that was created before EK actually breaks it (the link). So if I try to add a nofollow attribute to a link, the link just removes itself and I have to add it back. Sometimes it doesn’t even save. So now I have a spattering of followed and nofollowed links that I have to go back and review because of the inconsistency in saving.

Also, is there/can there be an option to remove all the extra code EK adds to the tag?

    Thanks again!

  • @travelfreak First of all, thanks a lot for using EditorsKit. Regarding your concern, are you using the latest EditorsKit version? I’ve recently fixed the issue with old links added before EditorsKit. It’s working perfectly as per the user feedback, if you can send screenshot/screencast of the issue that you are having that’ll be very helpful. Thanks again!

    Hey Jeffrey,

Thanks for getting back to me. I saw that in the changelog and also in the support forums, but unfortunately I’m still having the issue. Here’s a screen recording breaking down the issue step by step: https://www.screencast.com/t/9tcmpvDkKI

For reference: Latest version of WP, uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of EK (though did not remove DB references).

Also, I would love to see a nofollow and target=”_blank” option for buttons in the near future!

Keep up the great work ??

    Jeremy

@travelfreak Just finished the video, thank you very much for taking your time creating the video. Regarding the ek-link class, it’s required by Gutenberg to register formats while the aria-label was added automatically by Gutenberg as well when you toggle open to new tab. I highly recommend installing the main Gutenberg plugin for you to have latest components to fix the error with selection : https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gutenberg/ . This is the version that’s coming on November 12 for WordPress update which you can already use so that you can have the options for Buttons block as well. Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Oh damn! I didn’t realize that the Gutenberg plugin would provide beta updates. Everything is working now—thanks for that!

@travelfreak You are very welcome! Feel free to create another ticket if in any case you encounter any other issues. You can also check the Buttons Block ?? It’ll have the options you need w/o asking your developer ??
