Eksell – Gutenberg compatibility

    Hi Anders,

    Thank you so much for all the meaningful things that you have done for the WP community. Your themes have been my mainstay over the past years.

    Just wondering whether this theme is compatible with Gutenberg at the moment?

    On some pages the text wrap around photos looks a bit wonky due to insufficient spacing and text comes really close to images.

    While in dark mode, I cannot see text in the Gutenberg Editor (it will appear as white on white) making editing tricky.

    Looking forward to a fix sometime!

    Thank you, glad you like them!

    Eksell is Gutenberg/Block Editor compatible. You have encountered a couple of unfortunate bugs, though, including:

    • Blocks aligned to the right are currently missing a lefthand margin
    • The dark mode color scheme is being applied to the block editor preview, when it shouldn’t be
    • The “Primary color” isn’t being applied to the main content of the block editor preview, and the “Background color” isn’t applied as the background color

    All three pretty close to a 5/5 on the embarrassing scale. I’ve included fixes for them in version 1.4.2 of Eksell, which just went live. Give it a try and let me know if it does the trick. Big thanks for letting me know about the issues!

    Hi Anders,

    Thank you for the reply and hope you had a restful labour day weekend.

    The issues are now fixed, thank you for the fast response and the theme looks splendid! I will enjoy it for a long time to come. Will leave a note in the forum if I spot any other issues.

    Once again, appreciate all the work you are doing – WordPress has a bright future thanks to the tireless efforts of contributors like yourself.
