• Hello

    I have a wp site with Sydney theme. When I update the Elementor plugin from 3.5.9 to 3.6.0 my site crashes, there is only a fatal error message visible:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Elementor\Scheme_Typography’ not found in /home/…/plugins/elements-plus/elements/ep-justified-gallery.php:251 Stack trace: #0 `/home/…/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php(2280): Elementor\Widget_Justified_Gallery->_register_controls() #1 /home/…/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php(494): Elementor\Controls_Stack->init_controls() #2 /home/…/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/widget-base.php(177): Elementor\Controls_Stack->get_stack() #3 /home/…/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php(300): Elementor\Widget_Base->get_stack() #4 /…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php(2369): Elementor\Controls_Stack->get_controls() #5 /…/public_html/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/controls-stack.php(1105): Elementor\Controls_Stack->sanitize_settings(Arr in /…/wp-content/plugins/elements-plus/elements/ep-justified-gallery.php on line 251

    There has been a critical error on your site.`

    Thank you & Best regards,

  • Hi,

    To check whether that error is related to any script conflict with Sydney theme, try switching to one of default WordPress themes like Twenty Twenty and see whether the PHP error notice still appearing or not.

    Before doing so, enable troubleshooting mode to have a private checking (only visible to you while logged in as site administrator) with the help of Site Health plugin. Once the plugin enabled, you’ll the troubleshooting button under the Tools menu > Site Health > Troubleshooting.

    Hi Kharis,

    Thank you for your reply & your time.

    I switched to Twenty-TwentyOne theme, updated Elementor plugin to the latest (3.6.1.; also happened with update to 3.6.0.), cleared the Cache, and there was no Error message, the site worked normally, it just showed a bit different due the fact that it was another theme.

    Looking at the message, and the end of it in the part …sanitize_settings(Arr in /…/wp-content/plugins/elements-plus/elements/ep-justified-gallery.php on line 251…, I looked it in my phpAdmin, and this is what I found in line 251:

    ‘scheme’ => Scheme_Typography::TYPOGRAPHY_4,

    Maybe it hs something to do with a missing plugin code part – “Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘Elementor\Scheme_Typography’ not found in…” – there is “Elementor\” part missing in that line 251 when I look in my php.

    Seeing in the message that the error is connected with Elements-Plus, I tried to disable the plugin Elements-Plus, than I updated the Elementor plugin to the latest and the Error message did not show, just the site was dissorted. I activated the Elementor-Plus plugin back after updating Elementor to 3.6.1., and the Error message showed again.

    Thank you for your help & Best regards,
    BR..

    Hi

    I also tried to update Elementor-Plus (without updating the Elementor plugin) and the site did not show mentioned Error,
    BUT
    all site-galleries were missing.

    Thank you for your help & Best regards,
    BR

    I have the same issue due the plugin:

    Tiny Portfolio Widgets For Elementor

    It happens after the latest Elementor Upgrade version.

    Hello

    On this site there is a message “Your site is running an insecure version of PHP (7.1.33), which should be updated. … The minimum recommended version of PHP is 7.4.”

    Should I update my php version – Could this be the reason?

    I have checked my php version in my cPanel, it is still 7.0.

    Thank you for your help & Best regards,
    BR

    I updated the php version to the latest 8.1.4., and nothing changed.

    I was struggling with a broken website. My solution was to revert Elementor to version 3.5.6 which can be done from TOOLS in Elementor left menu, that fixed any problem. Apparently version 3.6 incorporates too many changes that still cause many bugs.
