The content restrictions on elementor elements does not appear to be working correctly.

I have a custom user role on the site. I have both the administrator role and the custom role.

If I set “Restrict to logged in users” to “Yes” I see the content when both logged in and logged out.
    This appears to be incorrect.

If I set “Restrict to logged in users” to “No” I see the content when both logged in an logged out.
    This appears to be correct.

If I set “Restrict to logged in users” to “No” and I set “Restrict by User Roles” to the custom role I see the content when both logged in and logged out.
    This appears to be incorrect.

If I set “Restrict to logged in users to “Yes” and I set “Restrict by User Roles” to the custom role I do not see the content I do not see the content when either logged in or logged out.
    This appears to be incorrect.

    Hi @hube2,

I’ve tested on my WP Instance and from what I see the Content Restriction works correctly.

First of all, please make sure you exclude the page where you’re testing this from caching (in case you’re using a caching plugin or functionality) and also try to test this from an Incognito browser window.

Also, it’s very important to mention that the Administrator user role bypasses all restrictions, so when you’re testing this, you need to test with a normal user account (who is not an Admin or doesn’t have a custom role with similar admin capabilities).

Let me know if you sill encounter this issue after checking the above information.

I just did a quick test again using a private window or even using a different browser. My simple test was just for login condition on an elementor container element. I could see the content both logged into and out of the site. I have no idea if it is a conflict with another plugin or just his plugin no working and I don’t have time to figure this out.

But this is moot. I am moving on as I realized that I can do what needs to be done on this site with the built in elementor display conditions and will not be using this plugin for this feature.
