I updated Elementor this morning and can no longer edit. After opening the post page in Elementor, after about two seconds the screen goes black. I can access the widgets on the left hand side and see the top half of the post featured image but nothing else. I have left the screen for 15 minutes but no change. I have tried regererating CSS and syncing, no change. I have deleted cache, no change. I have rolled back to previous versions of Elementor and Pro, no change.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’ve seen a few users report this and I’m trying to track down anything in common. By any chance are you running Adsense on your site?

I have google ads but add them manually using cut and paste into an HTML widget in Elementor.

I was about to post the same issue.

I’m running Adsense on my site if that helps

If you stop running the ads momentarily, does that affect the problem?

To stop running them I need to remove each manually, which I can’t do as I can’t access the edit screen! I just tried archiving them in the Adsense website but it hasn’t made any difference.

Can you turn off any adblockers on your browser and see if you can edit then?

Same issue here with black screen. I had a widget that was site wide below the navigation menu with adsense code. I removed the widget and the page loaded fine in the edit screen. So, you seem to be on the right track with the adsense code…

Sorry that should say turn on an ad blocker

I was going through same problem… I just download the ads blocker from chome extension on my pc now and it work fine and more fast ??

Solution: Turn on Ads blocker when you want to use the elementor edit

Hi, I also go through the same problem. The question is whether there will be any solution from Elementor, because it is annoying to have to use the ad blocker. Thanks

Maybe. That’s hard to say. This is mostly on Google’s end, really, but the developers are going to try to work with Google to see if something can be done.

Thanks so much to everyone who shared their fix here. I also have Google Ads running on my blog. I installed an ad blocker, and it did the trick! THANK YOU!
