  • Hi

The error message he encountered indicates that there was a failure in accessing the specified URL: https://forschnit.com/wp-content/plugins/elementor/assets/lib/font-awesome/webfonts/fa-brands-400.woff2.
The exact reason for the failure can vary, but some common possibilities include:

    1. The URL is incorrect, or the file does not exist at that location.
    2. The server hosting the file is currently down or experiencing connectivity issues.
    3. There are restrictions or permissions in place that prevent access to the file.

To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    1. Double-check the URL to ensure that it is correct and properly formatted.
    2. Verify the existence of the file at the specified location by attempting to access it directly in a web browser.
    3. If the file does exist but you are unable to access it, contact the website administrator or support team for assistance.

The file is available. If I copy it into the browser, it allows me to download the file. so there are no permissions and the file exists.

    What could be the reason?

    Hi

If you can successfully download the file by directly accessing the URL in your browser, it suggests that there might be an issue specific to the Gmetrix tool or the way it is attempting to access the resource.
In this case, there are a few possible reasons for the failure when checking Gmetrix:

    1. Network or Firewall Restrictions: Gmetrix might be encountering network or firewall restrictions that prevent it from accessing the specified URL. This could be due to the tool’s configuration or the network settings in the environment where you are running Gmetrix. You can try checking your network settings or contact the administrator of the Gmetrix tool to inquire about any network restrictions.
    2. Referer or User-Agent Restrictions: Some servers are configured to only allow access to certain resources if the request includes specific headers such as “Referer” or “User-Agent.” It’s possible that Gmetrix does not include the required headers when accessing the resource, resulting in a failure. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t be able to modify Gmetrix’s behavior directly.
    3. Temporary Server Issue: While you were able to download the file through your browser, it’s still possible that there was a temporary issue with the server when Gmetrix attempted to access the resource. In this case, waiting for some time and retesting with Gmetrix may resolve the problem.

Since Gmetrix is a specific tool that, I would recommend reaching out to the Gmetrix support team or the administrator of the tool for further assistance. They would be in a better position to investigate and provide a solution to the specific issue you are experiencing.
